The Volvo EX40 is priced at ₹56.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The model is offered in two variants: the Plus and the Ultimate AWD. The Plus variant is equipped with a 69 kWh battery, offering a range of up to 475 km on a full charge. It is powered by a motor producing 238 bhp and 420 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the Ultimate AWD version boasts a larger 78 kWh battery, delivering 402 bhp and 660 Nm of torque, and has an electric range of 418 km.

The Volvo EX40 sports a stylish exterior with a blanked-out front grille, LED headlamps, and 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. Its aerodynamic shape is complemented by black cladding on the front and rear bumpers and vertically stacked LED taillights, enhancing its sleek appearance.

Inside the cabin, the EX40 exudes luxury with features like a 12-inch fully digital instrument cluster and a vertically oriented touchscreen infotainment system. Other notable amenities include electrically adjustable front seats with memory function, dual-zone climate control, adaptive cruise control, and lane keep assist, making it a tech-forward vehicle designed for comfort.

The Volvo EX40 provides a smooth driving experience with impressive acceleration and handling. The SUV can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.3 seconds, with a top speed of 180 km/h. It offers rear-wheel drive (RWD) in the Plus variant and all-wheel drive (AWD) in the Ultimate model.

Charging the battery is efficient, with the vehicle capable of replenishing 10% to 80% of its charge in just 28 minutes using a 150 kW DC fast charger. The vehicle is also compatible with slower AC chargers, which can be used at home or in public charging stations.

Volvo has a strong reputation for safety, and the EX40 maintains this tradition with high-end safety features. Although the Euro NCAP rating for the Volvo EX40 has not been officially released, it is expected to achieve five stars, given that its predecessor, the XC40, holds a similar rating.
